Built by students, for students

ClassOS was built at Auburn, by a student who was tired of checking Canvas five times a day and still missing what mattered.

  • 2 students have connected their real Canvas accounts.
  • Built at Auburn University. Works with any Canvas school.
  • Reads your Canvas. Writes nothing except a submission you start yourself.

How it got here

Every college student knows the feeling: you log into Canvas, scroll through a maze of modules, and still have no idea where you actually stand. Grades are scattered. Deadlines are buried. By the time you realize you're in trouble, it's too late to recover. So the first version of ClassOS was the tool one student wished existed.

  1. Spring 2026

Built the first version for one student: me.

  2. Aug 14, 2026

Real alerts went live. ClassOS started telling students about grade drops before they checked.

  3. Aug 16, 2026

Scout v2. Deadlines in your timezone, GPA that counts the zeros.

  4. Fall 2026

First semester with real students on it.

What ClassOS does

  • Reads your grades, deadlines, and GPA through the official Canvas API.
  • Tells you what matters today, ranked by what it costs you to miss it.
  • Warns you when a grade moves, whether or not the app is open.

What ClassOS will never do

  • Writes to your Canvas account on your behalf.
  • Does your homework for you or answers for your professor.
  • Sells your academic data, or hands it to your school.
